The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), the 5Rights Foundation, and ACT Responsible have announced the finalists of the Campaign4Good: Safety by Design competition—an international creative contest that mobilizes young talent to take a stand against harmful digital practices and advocate for a safer online environment for children, one of the most pressing challenges of our time.
The first edition of the project received more than 50 submissions, demonstrating an impressive level of creative ambition and strategic maturity among young professionals. The strong interest also shows that the industry is ready and willing to contribute to positive and lasting change in society.
The submitted projects offered a rich variety of approaches, including in-depth storytelling, thoughtful analysis of digital systems, emotionally engaging ideas, and concept-driven work. Many of them addressed issues such as addictive online behavior, the risks children face when left without adult supervision, shortcomings in age-verification systems, and the need to rethink the design of digital spaces.
A high-level jury, including Members of the European Parliament Manuela Ripa, Hristo Petrov, and Dora David, reviewed all submissions and selected the campaigns with the strongest creative and strategic potential to advance the Safety by Design mission.
The jury selected six outstanding projects:
- Dentsu Creative Italy — Break the Loop
- Innocean Worldwide Europe GmbH — Terms, Conditions and Children
- Klick Health UK — When You’re Not Around, Someone Else Is
- Hvíta húsið (Iceland) — Playing by the Rules
- MITO Group (Hungary) — Lumen
- Maverick (Azerbaijan) — #RewriteTheStory
The winners will be announced at the Effie Europe gala dinner, which will take place in Brussels on December 10, 2025.
